The other day, my package from ASOS arrived! I actually squealed for joy when I saw the package on my desk. My lovely mother knew that it was coming and placed it in my room the moment it plopped on our doorstep. The black and white lettering on the packaging was just calling for me to rip it up and look at the beautiful clothes inside. If you have read some of my other posts, you may have noticed that my obsession with ASOS is rather new. But, it is not to be underestimated, ASOS has taken simply taken over my online shopping life. That is, what little there is of it. You see, I am the kind of shopper who will always be looking at clothes online, but I very rarely actually buy them. So when I do, it is a super treat.
I am so glad I bought these overalls. I mean how cute are they!?
Hello friends! As school is approaching ever so quickly and summer is slowly slipping through our fingers, I think this post will be kind of helpful for some of you. For the rest of you, if you have any advice for rising freshman leave them below, lets help everyone!
Over the last few months, a few rising college freshman have reached out to me over social media asking some very good questions about how they should prepare for their impending move to college. The questions ranged from how to choose a roommate, what hangers to get, to how to choose classes. All very good and important questions. From dorms, to classes, to leaving the comfort of family – freshman year is a HUGE transition for even the strongest of souls. So, to make it just a little bit easier for you guys, I have put together my 10 Things Every College Freshman Should Know. I am a Computer Science student at Georgia Tech, so these suggestions are a bit related to that and my own experience. So keep that in mind as you read this. Please let me know if you guys have any more questions, leave them below in the comments, tweet me, whatever 🙂

As you may already know, this blogging adventure is only over a few weeks old. I know, it feels like longer! To make this blog the best it can be, I have been reading a bunch of blogs and learning about the general aesthetic and content that people enjoy. So many bloggers have incredible pictures, are monetized and look really really professional. Its a bit intimidating, especially since I am just starting out. That being said, this blog is a blog first for me to express myself and second to create content for a larger audience. My audience is pretty small right now, but I like it that way – its cozy. I started blogging because it looked like fun and it is!
“Sometimes you will never the know value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
As I sit here at my desk, coffee in hand, I look around me. These white walls that are my office, the grey carpet under my feet, and the large iMac that I work on – this is my reality. For the next month and some, I will be in this room and be working on this project. But, after that – I may never see it again. I will go back to school and I will have a new world.
Over the last few years, I have come to a conclusion about my life: my reality changes as I change. At each step and point in our lives, our reality is different.
Hello friends 🙂 As the sun is shining and schools are out, I think it is time that we start talking about some summer outfits! I have been doing some shopping lately and I am pretty confident that I have discovered the maxi skirt of my dreams! I mean, this American Eagle Maxi Skirt is pretty spot on.
This is the story of how a normal day turned into the extraordinary time we met and saved Billy.
Yesterday, my mom and I were driving home from Chipotle. As we drove up the curvy road to our house, the car in front of us screeched and swerved to the right. Panicked, my mom jammed the breaks. As the car zoomed on ahead we noticed that there was a dog in the middle of the road! Relatively calm and old, he was lost for sure – but not scared.
Walking down a busy road like that – he could have been killed!
He was walking right towards our car and and as the cars behind overtook us, in a spur of the moment decision, we opened the back door and said hello. He looked at us and his ears perked up, and without too much coaxing he got right into our car!
I know. I know. I know.
For many of you bloggers, in this humongous blogosphere that is the internet, flatlays are a way of life – a daily part of your day. Its hard to believe that I have never made one. In fact, its even harder to believe that I thought they were easy to do. It just seemed like they were a picture of a bunch of things organized in a pretty way. Essentially, that is what a flatlay is.
But, oh is it so much more than that.
Yesterday, I decided to venture into one of my absolute favorite book stores, the Recycle Bookstore.
It is an old country style building with large windows by the door. When you enter, old dark wooden bookshelves line the walls and fill every open space. There is a beautiful children’s book area filled with coloring books, picture books and even some young-adult fiction. A little girl and her grandma came in while I was there and they sat in a rocking chair by the window and read a picture book together. It was beyond precious and I couldn’t help but listen in. What can I say? My inner child wanted to sit on the rug in front of them and participate in story time. But, I thought it would be less creepy if I just stayed and listened in from a distance.
Earlier this week, I reunited with an old school friend of mine and we went to a restaurant called Shabuway in Mountain View, CA. I had never been there before, but she raved about it nonstop on the way.
I have an interesting relationship with shoes. For one thing, I am incredibly particular. I find heels very painful and flats too formal. But, one thing is for sure, I have been loving are these beautiful shoes from ASOS.
